HIGH-QUALITY SCHOOLS
We expand access to quality, tuition free, open enrollment, public schools for families across the city by scaling successful school programs, incubating new schools, and investing in turnaround schools.
SCHOOL INVESTMENTS
When CEP was founded in 2015, we chose to focus on San Antonio’s urban core. The urban core is home to the highest concentration of Black and Brown students, students living in poverty, and low performing schools. In 2016 of the 100,000 students in San Antonio’s urban core only 6,000 were attending a high quality school according to our Texas school report card rating system. Today, nearly 54,000 students attend high-quality schools rated A or B by the state’s accountability system. City Education Partners funding support has helped create schools that will serve over 23,000 students.
