Learn more about how City Education Partners is working to bring great teachers and leaders into more San Antonio classrooms.

Male Teachers of Color Collaborative

Over the last year, we have partnered with a group of dynamic male teachers of color to form the Male Teacher of Color Collaborative (MToCC). This group is informing, designing, and advocating for a robust teacher pipeline with strong male teachers of color representation for our students. On July 29th, MToCC hosted the inaugural convening: Bold Directions Towards Representation convening over 100 educators of color and other education leaders to shine a light on the underrepresentation and positive impact of male teachers of color in our classrooms. Learn more about the collaborative and the convening.

Culturally Efficacious Talent Recruitment and Retention Community of Practice

In partnership with The Center for Black Educator Development (CBED), we have convened nested teams of school leaders, educators, and educator preparation program leads for a one-of-kind year-long culturally proficient educational leadership training grounded in strengthening capacity for effectively attracting and retaining educators of color in San Antonio schools.
